Geek Slappy Madness

I heard about a geeky craft fair being put on at the Jupiter Hotel by the PDX Browncoats our local Firefly fan club. There was so much awesome geek stuff but most of it was very over priced.

Shiro Cosmetics was there! Isn't the owner adorable? I got to test out the new holiday glosses Red Ryder smelled the best, but I think Leg Lamp was the better shade. I am definitely buying from her soon!

Girl dressed like TARDIS, looks comfy.

Randall really liked the steampunk stuff, the guns, utility belts, and canes.

Afterwards we went to Slappy Cakes for lunch. I had my usual sweet potato pancakes with goat cheese and apples.

Randall had toast, hash, eggs over easy, and vegan sausage. He's on this weird doctor recommended diet for a month, it's cut out weird things like soy and citrus.

After lunch we walked down the block to Movie Madness so Randall could see what they had. They have a lot of movie memorbelia including some awesome old costumes.

I love the gold dress in the above photo, from a 60's version of Grimm Fairy Tales. It's super tiny though, I could never fit in it, the actress must have been 12.

Eyeshadow was Aromaleighs Zues and Verdant Wisp, and Femme Fatales Space Cow.

Candy Cane Rhythm

I made this dress to use as a nightgown, but I thought it was so cute and if I just wore it as PJ's no one would be able to appreciate it, I couldn't let that happen! So I wore it for International Lolita Day it's more Otome then Lolita but I didn't much feel like wearing a cupcake petticoat just to do some Christmas shopping.
  • Hat: Vintage
  • Necklace: Handmade by mom
  • Blouse: NikiBiki Brand
  • Dress: Handmade by me
  • Belt: Swap Meet
  • Rose Clip: LA Fashion District
  • Tights: Capezio
  • Shoes: An*Tai*Na
What do you think of the fro? I was so happy with my giant hair I wish I could do it more often but it's not always comfortable sleeping on foam rollers.
On my way out I threw on a scarf and gloves and I was quite warm for the day. And while shopping at Value Village a cute girl in an awesome jacket snapped my picture and gave me the link to her vintage clothing blog Vixen Vintage. It's a fabulous read with tons of pretty pictures so I definitely recommend it.

I wanted to wear my new Strawberry Shimmer lipgloss from Morgana Cryptoria so I kept my makeup fairly simple. Just Aromaleigh Corset blush and Meow eyeshadow.

Eyeshadows are Meows Santa Honey, Bliss, and Levitation.

Binary Solo

Wore this look to where I volunteer locally once a week, mostly though I just felt like wearing some eyeshadow. On my cheeks I'm wearing Femme Fatals Fire Bloom blush, and Morgana Cryptorias Quark lip balm.

On the inner corner is Aromleighs Binary, and under the lower waterline Femme Fatals Phantasm.

On the lid is more Binary, with Femme Fatals Space Cow and arching above FF Haunt with more Phantasm on the brow bone.

I probably should have blended Haunt in a bit more but all in all it was a nice look and a good color combo.

I Was Different

I felt like I needed to wear some green eyeshadow, I have a lot of interesting greens and now that it's fall I feel like I can use them in better correlation with the weather. On my face I've used Aromaleighs Peaches n' Cream finishing powder, Meows Firecracker blush, and Brazens Breathless lipgloss.

Usually I pair greens with gold but I thought all different shades of green would be something different for me. I used Meow Telepathy on the inner corner, then under the waterline is Aromaleighs Glowing Luna, and then Meows Balderdash.

I used more Glowing Luna on the lid followed by Meows Comet. There's more Telepathy on the brow bone, and more Balderdash on the outer corner.

I Am Iron Man

When I grabbed my colors this day I didn't realize they were Iron Man colors, my eyes are genius billionaire playboy philanthropists, hooray!

Aromaleighs Bluebell on the inner corner and AL Infidels under the lower lash line followed by AL Spiked Punch.

Brazens Prowl is on the lid with more Spiked Punch in the arch and outer corner. Bluebell was used as a highlight.

Ooh sparkly!

Pink Flirt blush in Sweet Surrender. On my lips is Wet n' Wild lipstick in Blossom, with Geek Chics Willful Wyvern gloss over top.

Rebellion

Ha ha I've been Loki'd! My first time using my Morgana Cryptorias lip gloss in Medusas Magic. Super fun! I'm also wearing Aromaleighs Cherry Bomb blush.

On the inner corner I used Meows Illusion, then on the middle of the lower lash line Aromaleighs Umbra. On the outer lower corner is AL's Glowing Luna with AL Cielo patted over top.

On the lid is Umbra with Cielo swooped into the crease and Glowing Luna on the outer corner. Illusion is on the brow bone as a highlight.

 Nice and evil!

Ohh yeah, just right for Halloween.

Crop-Circles On The Carpet

I wore this look to see Side By Side a documentary about celluloid vs. digital films by Keanu Reeves of all people. The look itself was inspired while browsing through a bunch of Tea for Teals makeup looks and swatches.

On the inner corner is Meows Crownbeard, and on the lower lash line is Black Rose Minerals Goose Egg and then Gargle Blaster.

I used Crownbeard as a highlight on my brow bone, the green shade is Meows Spruce with BRM Goose Egg and Gargle Blaster on the lid.

I'm getting excited for Fall and Winter, I love pastels but a more muted palate looks better on my complexion. Plus GOLDS! I love golds and they look fantastic in Fall.

On my cheeks is Aromaleighs Cherry Bomb blush with Meows glow powder in Past on the cheekbones. On my lips is Morgana Cryptorias Willow with Past patted on top.

Out of Spite

I love this dress, it was a birthday present to myself from my local vintage clothing store. It's really comfortable, not not too formal like a few of my other longer dresses. And I am buying a lot of longer dresses lately, I like how swishy they are.
  • Dress: Vintage 70's
  • Shoes: Mossimo
  • Earrings: LA Fashion District
  • Hair Clip: Tarrino Tarantino
My eyeshadow is all Geek Chic.

Cold Feet was used on the inner corner, Champagne Toast on the lower lash line.

Companion Cube on the outer lid sweeping over in an arc, and more Champagne toast on the center lid layered over Companion Cube, with some Dream of Large Women layered over Companion Cube on the outer lid.

I did this weird braided side bun, but it doesn't look right for whatever reason.

He Laughs His Cat Laugh

I thought blue and pink would make a cute look on a summery day, and Femme Fatals Dreamstate would make a pretty liner. Unfortunately my liner skills still leave something to be desired but I don't think it was completely my fault this time, Dreamstate wasn't reacting well with my foiling medium. Also the pretty teal sparkle wasn't showing through.

On the lid I've used Aromaleighs High Heels with AL Wonder in the crease. A bit hard to tell though since High Heels is so shimmery.

Dreamstate was used as a liner, and ALs Perihelion was used on the inner corner and on the brow bone as a highlight.

It was a simple look with a surprising pop of color.

I'm also wearing ALs Cherry Bomb Blush, and Brazen lip gloss in Burlesque.

This is War

A very dark makeup look, kinda odd for the summer, but what can I say, I'm a rebel. Okay not so much, but I just kinda felt like doing something like this. Although originally I had green in mind instead of the blue, but I thought it might look too Christmas-y.

On the lower part of the lid I'm using Aromaleighs Athena, and on the upper lid is Aromaleighs Not So Silent Night. The black lining I used for it was Meows Black Friday.

As a highlight for my brow bone, the inner corner of my eye and under the lower lash line, I'm using Meows Frost Castle

On my face I used Aromaleighs Peaches n' Cream finishing powder, and their Cherry Bomb blush (now called Bittersweet on their website). On my lips is Morgana Cryptorias Nevermore.
